  3. To connect to Outland through the Internet, you need either a direct, SLIP, or PPP connection.

There are many Internet Service Providers that will happily provide you with either a  SLIP/PPP connection to the Net. SLIP/PPP access allows you to run services such as FTP and telnet directly from a PC or Mac. As a result, you can run some of the popular graphical user interface software (such as Mosaic and other World Wide Web clients).

  7. For your convenience, we've provided a comprensive list of Internet Service Providers with our software.  The list is sorted by area code, so it'll be easy to find a provider with dial-ups near you.  For an up-to-date list, see Outland's web page: http://www.outland.com/Software.html
